We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar with interests in mycobacterial pathogenesis, spatial immunology, and global health to join the Sabo and Shah Labs in the University of Washington Division of Allergy & Infectious Diseases. The Sabo Lab is focused on identifying factors that contribute to infectious diseases in mucosal spaces, including Mycobacteria leprae, the causative agent of leprosy. The Shah lab is focused on pathogenesis of mycobacterial diseases. We perform detailed studies using specimens derived from human samples. This project is focused on developing the most detailed atlas of immune factors in leprosy granulomas conducted to date, and will be conducted in a collaborative effort between the Sabo and Shah labs. RePORT Indonesia, in partnership with the TB Alliance and the Respiratory Programmatic and Research Institute, have developed Upskill TB, a free online learning platform designed to enhance knowledge and skills in the treatment and management of drug-resistant tuberculosis. The current version has expert-led courses on the innovative BPaL/M regimen.

The mission of the Warren Alpert Foundation Prize is to recognize and honor one or more scientists whose scientific achievements have led to the prevention, cure, or treatment of human disorders or for seminal research that holds great promise to change our ability to treat disease. Nominations are accepted from physicians and scientists from around the world. U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible to be nominated. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominees must be living. Up to five nominees may be co-nominated in one nomination. Multiple nominations from an institution are permitted.

Deadline: Rolling Weiss Asset Management Foundation invites proposals from organizations and researchers that engage in highly cost-effective work to alleviate human suffering in low- and lower-middle-income countries. Most grants will range from approximately $50,000 to $1.5 million. There is no lower bound, and in exceptional circumstances, grants may exceed $1.5 million.
