DEADLINE FOR LETTER OF INTENT: 28 April 2026; 5 pm (ET) DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION:1 September 2026; 5 pm (ET) This PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA) invites applications for high impact patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) projects that will address critical decisions faced by patients, families, caregivers, clinicians, and the health and healthcare community and for which there is insufficient evidence. Investigators must propose an individual-level or cluster randomized controlled trial of significant scale and scope for this PFA. The proposed trials should address critical decisional dilemmas that require important new evidence about the comparative clinical effectiveness of available interventions. Proposed studies should compare interventions that already have robust evidence of efficacy and are in current use. If efficacy is not well established, then widespread use must be documented. Clinical interventions (such as medications, diagnostic tests, or procedures) and delivery system interventions (such as workforce, technologies and healthcare service delivery designs) are appropriate for these studies. The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) aims to fund studies that address high-priority methodological gaps in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER). Awards will provide up to $750,000 over a period of up to three years.

The PIDS Foundation is pleased to offer annual fellowships and research awards to fellows and faculty. The goal of the PIDS award program is to increase the pool of highly trained pediatric infectious disease clinical scientists and to stimulate scholarly basic, translational, and clinical research in areas pertinent to Pediatric Infectious Diseases, including innovative research to improve or develop new vaccines and immunotherapeutics for children. The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) journals, International Health and Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene are currently recruiting new reviewers to help the author community improve their papers and ensure the integrity of that we publish research. Reviewers provide feedback to authors that helps make their paper stronger. The RSTMH is a charity and membership society that has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health since 1907. You can be at any stage of your research career, provided you can objectively evaluate the quality and rigour of a research paper. We welcome reviewers from all countries. Boost offers comprehensive training opportunities for immunization professionals that are both adaptive and technical. Our adaptive trainings pair with a specific immunization topic (e.g., life course immunization) and focus on building, developing and deepening leadership skills for community organizing. Graduates of our advanced training develop the capacity to deliver their own training to the Boost Community or within their own communities. The Stop TB Partnership is a supporting partner.

The Searle Scholars Program makes grants to selected universities and research institutes to support the independent research of exceptional young faculty in the biomedical sciences and chemistry. Searle Scholars Award Grants are set at $450,000 for a three-year period with $150,000 payable each year. Participating institutions may nominate outstanding early-career scientists to apply for the program. The prize, worth €2,500, recognizes contributions that make a significant contribution to understanding the disease and combating it. Journalistic works (print, TV, film, radio, online) and artistic projects in German or relevant to the German-speaking world are welcome. publications the years 2024 to 2026 can be submitted. The prerequisites for an award are current relevance and medical and factual accuracy of the presentation. The award ceremony will take place in March 2027 during the TB AKTUELL conference in Berlin.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar with interests in mycobacterial pathogenesis, spatial immunology, and global health to join the Sabo and Shah Labs in the University of Washington Division of Allergy & Infectious Diseases. The Sabo Lab is focused on identifying factors that contribute to infectious diseases in mucosal spaces, including Mycobacteria leprae, the causative agent of leprosy. The Shah lab is focused on pathogenesis of mycobacterial diseases. We perform detailed studies using specimens derived from human samples. This project is focused on developing the most detailed atlas of immune factors in leprosy granulomas conducted to date, and will be conducted in a collaborative effort between the Sabo and Shah labs. RePORT Indonesia, in partnership with the TB Alliance and the Respiratory Programmatic and Research Institute, have developed Upskill TB, a free online learning platform designed to enhance knowledge and skills in the treatment and management of drug-resistant tuberculosis. The current version has expert-led courses on the innovative BPaL/M regimen.

The mission of the Warren Alpert Foundation Prize is to recognize and honor one or more scientists whose scientific achievements have led to the prevention, cure, or treatment of human disorders or for seminal research that holds great promise to change our ability to treat disease. Nominations are accepted from physicians and scientists from around the world. U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible to be nominated. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominees must be living.
