RePORT International: Call for Junior Investigator Abstracts 2026

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Abstracts are due at 11:59 pm ET on 10 April 2026 This is the call for abstracts for the upcoming RePORT International Annual Meeting scheduled to take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 in Mumbai, India. Questions can be directed to tbricc@njms.rutgers.edu Notifications will be made at the end of April 2026. The final review will be conducted by RICC Leadership Group and External Reviewers We will not be able to provide feedback on abstracts that have not been selected Travel arrangements and funding will be provided to those selected (only the junior investigator) The lead author should be the Junior Investigator, defined as a postdoctoral fellow or research scientist/staff who has completed their terminal research degree or post-graduate clinical training (whichever was later) within the past 10 years and has not previously competed successfully as a PD/PI for a substantial independent NIH research award.

RSTMH journals: Call for Reviewers

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) journals, International Health and Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene are currently recruiting new reviewers to help the author community improve their papers and ensure the integrity of that we publish research. Reviewers provide feedback to authors that helps make their paper stronger. The RSTMH is a charity and membership society that has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health since 1907. Our ambition is to save lives and improve health around the world through increased access to and greater equity in global healthcare. Who can become a reviewer? You can be at any stage of your research career, provided you can objectively evaluate the quality and rigour of a research paper. We welcome reviewers from all countries. We also encourage collaborative reviews, where senior researchers review papers in collaboration with junior lab members (note, this must be disclosed in the ‘Confidential Comments to the Editor’ section of the reviewer report form). How to volunteer to be a reviewer? If you are interested in reviewing for us, please send a copy of your CV via email to Thomas.pinfield@rstmh.org, along with a short statement which outlines your research interests/expertise.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 9 April 2026 The Union World Conference on Lung Health brings together researchers, practitioners, advocates, policymakers and communities from around the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate progress in lung health: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 17–20 November 2026 Abstract submissions provide an opportunity for researchers, programme implementers, advocates and communities to present new evidence, innovative approaches and real-world lessons that are advancing lung health globally. All submissions are peer reviewed by at least three experts. Accepted abstracts are organised into oral presentation and e-poster sessions by the Conference Scientific Committee, creating a dynamic programme that reflects the breadth of work taking place across the global lung health community.

The Union: World Health Conference on Lung Health 2026 Symposia submission

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 9 April 2026 The Union World Conference on Lung Health brings together researchers, practitioners, advocates, policymakers and communities from around the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate progress in lung health: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 17–20 November 2026 Symposia bring together a coordinated group of speakers to present complementary perspectives on a shared topic, enabling deeper discussion of emerging research, policy priorities and implementation challenges shaping lung health worldwide. Symposia are submitted as a complete session proposal and, if accepted, become part of the scientific programme. Two submission routes are available: Regular symposia Regular symposia proposals must be relevant to one of the disease and crosscutting themes and should present a coherent session built around a clearly defined question. NEW for 2026 – Invited symposia The Conference Scientific Committee has identified a set of priority invited symposia themes. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 9 April 2026 The Union World Conference on Lung Health brings together researchers, practitioners, advocates, policymakers and communities from around the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate progress in lung health: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 17–20 November 2026 TBScience provides a specialised scientific platform within the conference dedicated to advances in tuberculosis basic science, translational research and investigational studies that support the future development of diagnostics, treatments and vaccines. TBScience abstract submissions are reviewed through a dedicated scientific review process and, if accepted, are presented as part of the TBScience programme. What reviewers look for Abstracts are assessed through a peer-review process considering: Novelty/Originality: The abstract must present novel or original information or a new topic/ application in the TBScience field. Clarity: The abstract should be clear and easy to understand. Significance/Impact/Relevance: The abstract must have significant impact and relevance to the TBScience field. Quality of Methodology: The methodology used in the abstract must be of high quality.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 9 April 2026 The Union World Conference on Lung Health brings together researchers, practitioners, advocates, policymakers and communities from around the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate progress in lung health: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 17–20 November 2026 Workshops and postgraduate courses provide interactive, skills-focused learning opportunities designed to strengthen knowledge, build capacity and support professional development across the global lung health community. Proposals should deliver engaging sessions that offer practical tools, applied learning and clear outcomes that participants can use in their work across research, programmes, policy or clinical practice. Session types Two formats are available: Postgraduate courses Extended learning sessions designed to provide structured, in-depth training on specialised topics relevant to lung health. Postgraduate course proposals must be relevant to one of the disease and crosscutting themes. Workshops Interactive sessions focused on practical skills, methods, tools or applied learning that participants can directly implement in their work. Workshop proposals must be relevant to one of the disease and crosscutting themes.

Upskill TB - a free online learning platform

RePORT Indonesia, in partnership with the TB Alliance and the Respiratory Programmatic and Research Institute, have developed Upskill TB, a free online learning platform designed to enhance knowledge and skills in the treatment and management of drug-resistant tuberculosis. The current version has expert-led courses on the innovative BPaL/M regimen.

Weiss Asset Management Foundation: Programs and Research to Alleviate Human Suffering

Deadline: Rolling Weiss Asset Management Foundation invites proposals from organizations and researchers that engage in highly cost-effective work to alleviate human suffering in low- and lower-middle-income countries. Most grants will range from approximately $50,000 to $1.5 million. There is no lower bound, and in exceptional circumstances, grants may exceed $1.5 million.
