WHO Academy: Harnessing the power of routine health facility data: Tuberculosis
Learn how to analyse, interpret, and present routine TB surveillance data and how to make use of your findings to generate hypotheses for further investigation and planning programmatic responses. This course draws on basic principles of epidemiology which are applied to TB surveillance data, also covered in the Understanding and using tuberculosis data handbook. Learners should also consult the Consolidated guidance on tuberculosis data generation and use: module 1: tuberculosis surveillance for an up-to-date set of recommendations. Examples, practice exercises and case studies are based on reported findings from conducting national TB epidemiological reviews which follow a standardized terms of reference, implementation methodology and analytical plan.

WHO Academy: Awareness raising, risk communication, mobilisation and meaningful engagement of community to end Tuberculosis
Addressing TB requires a multifaceted approach, including awareness raising, risk communication, mobilization, and community engagement.
Awareness helps individuals understand TB transmission, symptoms, and prevention, encouraging early detection and treatment.
Mobilizing communities supports collective action, combats stigma, and promotes check-ups and vaccinations.
Meaningful engagement involves communities in decision-making, fostering trust and access to care.
Together, these strategies support prevention, reduce stigma, and advocate for better healthcare access.
